<short_ot_explanation>
Novell is a platform, like windows, based on a Unix kernel (notice when you
boot a Novell box you must mount the filesystem) and all administration is
remote. It has its own file system, not FAT12, 16, or 32 (NFS - network
file system). There is no GUI on a Novell box. DOS/Windows would never
have been on a Novell box. You are probably thinking of the administration
being on Windows (nwadmin.exe) but you can admin a Novell box from other
platforms as well. Novell boxes typically have an uptime longer than 1-2
years [or hundreds of percents longer than any M$ box], because memory
management is quite a bit different, and a GUI does not kill performance.

Forgive my ignorance, but I thought Novell ran on DOS/Windows (if it's that
old,
likely it was a DOS box).
So it would be an MS box.
