Hey, CFers! The ColdFusion Crier here again! Well, what do we have in store for you for our May, 2001 event?
It's a veritable SMORGASBORD of topics for your intellectual, dining pleasure! A bit of trivia for you here. Do you know what smorgasbord really means? In Swedish smorgas means "open sandwich" and bord means "table". Well, we will not have any open sandwiches but we will have free pizza, drinks and tables. Fact is, we will have about 5 tables with a different subject and discussion leader/expert at each one. Thanks go to all those who answered Milo's Survey recently. Our top 5 vote getters are where the topics for each table came from.
Table 1 = Structures and Arrays
Table 2 = Stored Procuedures
Table 3 = Advanced Security
Table 4 = Error Handling
Table 5 = Regular Expressions
The plan is to finish up a presentation/discussion every 20-25 minutes so that people can rotate around the room to a new topic if they wish. That way, everyone can hear all the topics, and we can still maintain the "small group dynamic". So, there will be something for every level of expertise and interest. This month, thanks to Milo and our volunteer Discussion Leaders/Experts, we have covered it all. So, COME ONE, COME ALL !!
WHERE AND WHEN? Knowledge Development Center at 7301 N. State Hwy 161 (first floor of the southern building). Maps attached. Food starts at 6:30PM and the door locks at 7:00pm so PLEASE get there before then if you can. We'll try to have someone at the door to let late arrivals in.
