I have the very scenario for which you have described. I have a laptop that
I do all of my coding on. It is Win2K Professional. It has SQL Server 7.0,
SP3 as well as CF Server Professional.
I have a plain-Jane (home built actually) PC that I do all of the testing
on. It is Win2K Active Server, IIS5.0, SQL Server 7.0, SP3 and CF Server 4.5
Enterprise. They are networked together (The server is my PDC as well as my
gateway) and it all works great. All that you need to do is to be sure that
all PC's have a NIC, and you will need a hub. I use a SOHO Ware NDC 5 port
10/100 hub as well as all 100mbs NIC's. AS far as the setup, M$ has made
great improvements in the set-up of their 2K series OS. In about one day I
can have a CF Web server/SQL server up and running, and that is including
downloading and installing all of the patches/updates that are available for
download.

If you have any specific questions, please email me off-list and I will do
my best to answer them.

Bruce
