Need some help on relative paths.

Working on a remote server which paths "/" to "c:\inetpub\wwwroot\" in CF
Administrator. I am assuming that the root directory in IIS is also set to
the same path, thoug I could be mistaken. When I set a relative path to
"/anypage.cfm", the link goes to "http://anypage.cfm";. It should go to
"http://oursite/anypage.cfm"; as "oursite" is the folder under wwwroot that
the subject site is located in. When I set the path to
"/oursite/anypage.cfm" the link goes to
"http://oursite.com/oursite/anypage.cfm";. Obviously that one doesn't work,
either. I haven't found a way to duplicate that behavior on my local
machine.

What am I missing here, guys and gals? There must be something in CF
Administrator or IIS Administrator that I am missing, as this method of
pathing works fine at my employer's intranet website.

Would love to hear from someone who knows what is going on and how to fix
it.
