I really haven't used those tags, so I had no idea how reliable or good they
are.
Another option would be to look at Lewis Seller's TCPClient (this is a COM
object, updated in Feb 2001): http://www.intrafoundation.com/freeware.html.
It actually includes an NNTP example.
Bottom line is that you'll have to extend CF's capabilities. There's
probably a whole barnyard full of NNTP COM objects out there: go to any
[gasp! lol] ASP site (good one: aspin.com) to find some. Otherwise you
might look at writing your own COM or CFX that uses the WinInet library.
