This is easy to do. You will first nee to create a DSN on the users computer. Then 
give the user an account on the SQl server, then go into MS Access, create a new 
database, then link to the tables. 
Then you would go and import the queries, forms, and reports into the new datbase. 
Also, when you link the SQL tables, they will all be prefixed with dbo_. Rename all 
the tables so that the queries and reports work.
We do this here at Baylor all the time and we have not had any issues to date. And the 
users are using a mixture of Acess 97, 2000 AND XP, hitting SQl 6.5, 7.0 and SQl 2K 
machines on various clients (Windows95, 2000 and XP).
