Has anyone really delved into this methodology at all? Is it worth investing time on it? I did mess around with it in it's infancy the 1.0 days, but was quite unsatisfied and was wondering if now that it has gone into maturation, if it really does turn CF programming into an Obj Oriented type language.

A link to the download site is provided at the end of this message. *** WHAT'S NEW *** For those of you who have been using the latest releases, you won't notice much of a change. There have only been a handful of fixes and upgrades to the code since version 2.5. However, if you are currently using version 1.0 or 2.0, then upgrading to version 3.0 is a definite must for you. Here's a list of features added since version 2.0. 1. Significantly faster code execution 2. Elimination of cfoDeclareMethod tag 3. New cfoRaiseEvent tag 4. Easy shared/internal host deployment capabilities 5. Event based development model 6. Extensive debugging output 7. XML-based code documentation 8. Code tracking with new cfoTrackProject tag 9. Reduced whitespace in output 10. New sample application showing latest techniques 11. I also included a Microsoft Powerpoint presentation that I use when showing cfObjects at meetings. *** WHO IS RESPONSIBLE *** There are a core list of people who were instrumental in making all of these improvements possible: - Michael Pham - Jay Cheroske - Bigbird (real name unknown) - Christian Schneider Thanks to all of you for your valuable contributions. *** WHERE TO GET IT *** I spoke with Ralph at the 2001 DevCon and we discussed my getting FTP access to cfObjects.com. However, we've both been too busy to discuss it further, so the code has been uploaded to the Sourceforge site: https://sourceforge.net/projects/cfobjects/ - Steve ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This email server is running an evaluation copy of the MailShield anti- spam software.
