According to an error message tool from gregorybraun.com, 232 = The pipe is being closed.

There's a setting in the CF Administrator to restart after x number of errors. I believe the threshold message is just CF telling you that you have reached that number and the service is restarting.

I am not sure what this error is. Can you look up the 232?

This is the only error in the logs:
"Error","3132","12/03/01","11:43:28",,"Error number 232 occurred attempting to close connection to web server."
"Error","3132","12/03/01","11:43:28",,"Windows NT error number 232 occurred."

What kind of error messages are being posted in your logs? Is this happening on the same page? Are you using any cftry, cfcatch, cfthrow coding on any of your pages?

This might sound dumb, but do any messages in the server log give any clue as to what may be going on? Also, have you tried the software developer method of deleting the log and recreating it?

Dave:
Server.log is only 19k.  It gets Windows NT error 232 all day long, then eventually the service restarts.  Shortly after that the machine (running Win 2000 Advanced Server goes down and has to be rebooted.  Any clues?

How full is your log?  Sound to me as though you are getting server log is getting full. It is a good idea to empty the log on a period (scheduled) basis (perhaps to a backup log or archive). You might also look at the size of the log.  Perhaps it is too small.

I am getting this error in the Server.log file "Unknown error threshold reached. Restarting service."
Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?
