Oh, you’re right.  I misunderstood.

David,

The <CFERROR does not work for 404 errors... Or at least I could not get it to...

I believe the CFERROR tag is used for custom error pages (not the whole site)

Subject: Cold Fusion 404 - Custom Page ?

Does anyone know of a way that I can redirect .cfm pages that do not exist on a web site anymore?  For example, if a search engine indexed page23.cfm and it does not exist anymore Cold Fusion throws up it's own verion of a 404 Object Not Found such as the one I pasted below.  In IIS I can setup a custom 404 error for files that do not exist and have them redirect to the site's home page but I can't figure out a way to do this in Cold Fusion.  I think through the ColdFusion Administrator a Mission Template Header can be setup but I think that is for the entire server.  I would like to be able to this on a site by site basis.  If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Thanks,

  Brett
