I've been a minor obsessive about the idea of mixing Flash and CF for a few years, but never had time to go that route. I thought by now there would be more than there is on that. Still, I'm delighted there's a site dedicated to it, I'll check it out.
99.9% of all the Flash sites I see are "pretty" but useless as info- based sites, which are the only ones I do. I have a university statistics course that uses little interactive applets I think Flash could be a neat multimedia version of, IF it's able to do such things with scripting -- I just don't know. On occasion when I've talked with people about it, most the Flash folks I met just wanted to make pretty-fun stuff with soaring eagles and bouncy music and the idea of interactive math just didn't do much for them. ;-) Personally I think narrated 'tutorials' could be one of the best uses for them right off. I've been waiting to see evidence Flash has lived up to more of its awesome potential than 'fun' eye-candy type stuff, but still when I dip an ear into online conversations about it, it seems monstrously complicated to get all the databasing output stuff I need to do into Flash (until I can do pretty much what I already do, there isn't going to be a big point to using it). Or, as I hoped would happen as an alternative, get more of Flash 'into' my regular cfm pages (similar to applets). I still think it's one of the best techs on the web -- but one of the slowest to move into the more powerful opportunities waiting impatiently for it. Glad to see there are others with interest.
