January 8 CFUG Meeting is Tonight! Great topics, cool Macromedia giveaways!

January meeting is tonight!

This month's CFUG meeting is right around the corner, and as usual we have some interesting topics to present and discuss!

Interested in writing form validation that works on the fly, rather than having to deal with writing complicated javascript, or sending the user back to check the contents of a form over and over? Seth Bienek will be showing us how to do this, as well as pre-populating form field data live from a database, and more techniques to make your applications more interactive, at tonight's meeting!

Which variables should be locked, and which should never be locked, and why? Jeremy Ridout will be giving us the "Final word on CFLOCK" as well!

Is there a ColdFusion topic you would like to see covered? Even better, is there a topic you would like to present on? Email us now to propose future user group meeting topics!

We ALWAYS have a need for meeting sponsors. If you would like to have the eyes and ears of the Dallas/Fort Worth ColdFusion community for a few minutes in exchange for a few bucks to spring for some pizzas, We'd love to hear from you!

The meeting is at Knowledge Development Centers in Irving (see map below). A very special thanks to them from the DFW-CFUG for allowing us to use their excellent facilities.

For facility availability and pricing information, please call Joyce Nissen at
(972) 910-9450 or send her an e-mail.
