What I have done in this situation is allow a drop down and a text field. Then there are 2 ways to do what you are looking for, either in JavaScript and blank out the Pulldown if something is provided in the text box and vice versa if something is selected in the Pulldown, or with CF on the action page and make a determination to use the text box.
