We use a product called Load Runner to find out how an application performs under various loads. It captures a sequence of events (clicks & entries on pages through a browser) and simulates any number of users performing the same actions. It is quite flexible and works well.

We have a cold fusion application that we're getting ready to deploy. There
are some concerns, though, as to how much load it can handle since it will
be processing a lot of data entry from a lot of users. Are there any third
party tools out there that we can use to test our application and servers?
Any pointers to the right direction would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Alma D. Silva
