The way I look at it, when I'm *really* stuck and don't have another resource
available to me, I'll send something to the list. Definitely try to apply the
things you learn from the folks here to any new problem you have before posting
a question. For example, when you posted the question about how to format the
output of your <cfdirectory> in a table, I remembered that we had a similar
topic a few weeks ago and was about to repost some code when other answers came
through. When I come across a useful tidbit here (like anything from Seth ;-),
I save it off. If I later have a problem I can't figure out, I look through the
repository to see if there's a snippet in there that would help. If I can't
find a good snippet, I'll search the Internet or look through the references for
guidance. Heck, I've even harrassed Big Daddy Ben a few times.

So for me, the bottom line is this: try to solve the problem on your own first.
Think about the problem, think about how you've solved similar problems in the
past, think about how *other folks* have solved similar problems in the past,
look at existing references, search the Internet. If after all of that there's
still no solution, post the question to the list. Again, this is my own axiom,
because I derive a lot of pleasure from solving the problem on my own. You're
MO may be completely different, and that's not a bad thing.

If you're whipping anyone on this list, they simply won't respond. I don't
think anyone here minds helping anyone else out when they can... ;-)
