Thanks
Tom.
I tried
first setting the buffer size to 650000 (adding a 0), but that didn't work for
me. I then enabled the option "Enable retrieval of long text" and that
worked.

your ODBC Data Source setting. Go
to your CF administrator, select ODBC Data Sources. Select your Data Source Name you wish to
edit. Select CF Setting. Check the “Enable retrieval of long
text” check box then set the Long Text Buffer Size box to a number you think
will accommodate your data size. It
defaults to 65000. I’ve added an
extra 0 and have had no problems.
For this to work, you will have to stop and restart cf. Hope this
helps. Thanks

Message----- Hello - There appears to be a 64k limit on database field size
in CF 4.5. I have a Text field that gets truncated to 64k every time I try
to insert data via CF. I can insert data directly from the database
interface, or via Perl DBI, neither of which get truncated.
Is this a known issue with 4.5? Is the same issue
present in 5.0? I am using CF 4.5 on Solaris 2.6 with SyBase ASA
7. Thanks in advance for your help.
