My public server went down for awhile recently and I made a new database on _localhost_, so it would be totally on my hard drive and unrelated to my server. Alas, while the server was down, I could not open any localhost page to browse.
I could do SQL-S EM stuff. I could open the file in CF's plain editor. I could get to webstuff outside my server's region. But when I tried to browse my files on localhost, although it had worked fine right up till my remote server access died (and as soon as it was restored), although I could get to my 127.0.0.1 root dir listing fine, if I called up any localhost file in the browser it would give a 'page can't be displayed' function. Note, this was even in the case of files that have zip, zero to do with anything remote, and in many cases do not even have db code in them at all! So it wasn't that the pages were calling on something remote and that's why. I went slowly through CF Admin and SQL-S EM looking for some setting that I figured had to be directing me to, or making me dependent on, the remote server instead of locally, but I couldn't find anything. Anybody have any ideas? Much appreciated.
