I just looked at it
further those two variables will not have access to each other. You have
to keep in mind the processing order. The Cold Fusion Application server
will execute any CF code and pass that information to the web server.
VBScript (in this context) is a client side execution. You are trying to
assign a CF variable to the result of a client-side process that has not run
yet. I apologize for not catching that in my first post. You may
want to consider writing the page in ASP (i.e. Server-Side VBScript). This
is pretty easy to do, and it mixes well with CF. Something to remember,
you will not have access to any of the following common CF
scopes:
Application
Request
Session
However URL and Form
variables are easily passed back and forth between the two.
It appears that you
are just trying to output some XML in that case I think you may be able to use
cfhttp to get at the ASP rendered XML
