I am trying to write multi-byte(Japanese) characters in a txt file. Since my machine locale is English I am unable to view this file correctly (Characters are not readable). I tried with setting charset as UTF-8, ISO and SHIFT_JIS. Everytime I am getting garbage characters. I feel with UTF-8 characters one can read Japanese characters (if the locale is Japanese). I am attaching output file, can anybody tell me if the output is in readable format on Japanese locale?
I have attached CFM program file plus the output file. Please test this code if possible. ;)
