There is a second edition, who knew?

I use the first one of this book and have for years. It focuses on PERL in
the examples but scripting language doesn't matter, the syntax of the
regular expressions is what you really need to know. I have used the PERL
based book for ColdFusion since the mid 90's and it works great in CF. I
recommend reading the book at least once all the way through and then using
as a reference after that.

I did like the first one, it's up there with SQL for Smarties in my
favorites. I may have to look for the next version now that I know it
exists, but has RE really changed any? Are we going to have to start
versioning RE's?

I think that was the one I flipped through in B&N last night. If it's the
same one, it looked good, but a bit PHP and ASP specific. :(
