We saw this occur one time on a server for an application over in the UK. What it ended up being was a web server setting and something to do with "caching" web pages. I think the server has a toggle on/off for web page caching but I can be sure because I did not have that much visibility into the web server configuration. This had nothing to do with colfusion code.

To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] cc: Subject: Cfflock and session values |
I need to know where to look in a CF application for some
kind of coding problem that would cause several separate
users in a university computer lab to start getting session
values from another user online at the same time. At one
point, the session values for one of the user was on three
different screens; when clicking through various site links,
eventually they reverted to what was proper.
I have never seen this happen before and have no idea where
to look for a problem. I was told cflock shouldn't be used and
that this wouldn't happen if the application was coded
correctly, but I wouldn't even know *how* to make one user
come up with a different user's session values and then back
again. Has anybody experienced something like this? Any
ideas on where I should begin for troubleshooting?
Many thanks.
Palyne
