Ron,
You
can try using OCR software (optical character renderer) to convert type in a
graphics file to a text file. You can buy the software separately or sometimes
an LE version is available when you purchase a scanner. Look also for a trial
version to get you over the hump. There are a few titles out there. I use
OmniPage LE that came with my scanner and it does OK. You may have to change the
default font when viewing your code in a browser to Times or Ariel so it can
'read' the type better. I have not tried this with screen resolution type, so I
don't know how well it will convert.
Of
couse it is not foolproof. You will have to proofread your converted type, but
it does keep carple tunnel syndrome away.
Try a
search engine with "OCR software" and see what pops up.

Subject: Impossible question, I have my fingers crossed.Hi All,
I don't know if any of you are familiar with Authorware, anywhoo, I'm viewing these courses and retyping them…I don't have the basecode, I'm viewing the compiled code. So as you can tell, I'm fed up with having to type all day. When I view these lessons and I want to extract text, I can't. I'm viewing it through IE. Can't drag to highlight and copy. Is there a way to extract text from a .jpg file? Because I can take a print screen and save as jpg. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry it's not a CF related question.Ron Mast
