Have the coldfusionpro newsletter, free news-letter, is emailed 2 to 3 times an week, emailed to the groups listsever. Since this newsletter covers specific and general relative tropics on CF pro-gramming, this would at least keep the group updated on current trends as well as saving time and money attending those expenise seminars. Also this would be an great way for the members at large to post this input with regards to that day's tropic. 2. For posting of job openig, some sig's use an self posting page for performing such tasks. The results can be viewed on the groups website page, or continue posting by cut & pasting on the current listsever. 3. For posting of upcoming expos, events, seminars again some sig's are use self posting page for per-forming such tasks. General net/web, security, pro-gramming are the most reality tropics that are covered at these various events, or continue postings by cut & paste on the current listserver. 4. They reason I am bring up postings of expos, events, seminars is that some sig's are able to offer group discounts to members by using an special assigned code for that particular event, that is inputed during the online or onsite registration process. The group discount is usualy provided may the vendors who are hosting and exhibiting at that event. 5. I wish to address several related issues that I see developing within the programming community at large affecting various programming tasks; a. Job opportunites at various events, several vendors post notices wanting experienced programmers at these type of events. b. Secondary programming language skills, in essence you have some basic understanding of an secondary programming language such an c(+), PHP, java, pearl, asp.net so that you can interface your project with the main programming language. This trend is mainly aimed at small to medium companies or bus-iness at this time. c. Dual interface projects developments, in essence you may be developing your project primarly for website usage, but allowing for interacting with software, wireless, on-demand products and services, seems to be the coming market trends. d. Outsourcing various programming jobs, at this time is mainly targeting to medium to large companies or business at this time. At some of the events, this tropic is well disucssed, and debated. e. Search engine & redesigning websites are cur-rently the main tropics of discussions at programming events. Please bear this one fact in mind, when you redeisgn your website for what ever reason, in essence you are reprogramming its orginial programming. Weather to meat ADA standards, affect page ranking, etc. you will have to redesign and reprogram your website. --- Matt Woodward <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Very cool--we'll see if that makes sense in the > overall scheme of what > we want to do with the site.
