Hey guys, thought I would mention that my company, Unitrin
Specialty, is looking for a developer to replace a contractor who is leaving
us for a full-time position. Here is a little information about the job and
the required qualifications.

The position is primarily a maintenance role with the possibility
for full-time hire, and future work in new development. The applicant
should be a fast learner, with an ability to handle multiple tasks and
aggressive deadlines. The applicant will be required to fulfill all
developer phases of the development life cycle including analysis, design,
programming, and unit testing. Previous knowledge of insurance and/or point
of sale systems is a plus. Must be able to communicate effectively, both
verbally, and in writing. Must be well-organized and work well with others
in a team environment.

Our web systems are written almost entirely in ColdFusion and HTML,
with a smattering of Javascript and VB thrown in. Therefore we need someone
who has extensive CF web development experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years
of work in this kind of an environment. Our site is entirely data-driven so
significant experience with SQL, again 3-5 years at a minimum, is also
required. We use iSeries DB2 as our primary database platform, so
experience with the iSeries platform would be a plus, as would experience
with iSeries ILE COBOL, as we interface heavily with our legacy system.

If you are interested in the position, please reply with your resume
and hourly rate.

        Thanks,

        Eric Knipp
        Senior Programmer/Analyst
