Thanks! I will call them and tell them what the problem is, or move.
Simple as that.

Steve,

It is true that desperate times require desperate measures. Spammers steal
millions in bandwidth from service providers and are the reason why the
Internet has become the crapstorm of viri and kiddy-porn sales pitches it is
today.

IMHO if an admin is running an poorly configured mail server, have been
trojaned or host a spamming client, one deserves to be listed and not
removed for the *same amount* of time it took the administrator to stop the
spew. Setting up shop on the web requires that you keep your equipment
properly maintained and your software configured correctly and in accordance
with RFC standards. If you don't know what you're doing and allow these kind
of things to happen, then it is my right to refuse your traffic by
whatever_means_necessary.

I know the guys that run SORBS (Mathew Sullivan). Whomever told you that it
takes an act of charity to be removed was lying to you.

Here is the contact form to get retested if SORBS lists you.
http://www.dnsbl.us.sorbs.net/cgi-bin/mail

If you don't like SORBS, don't use it. Please don't spread malicious second
hand information like that.

My advice to the individual having issues with their DNS server is to either
call charter support and tell them they are having issues or move to another
DNS server that is properly configured (preferably on a **ix system).
Charter is a poster child for how to not run an ISP, so I doubt you'll get
far with them.

Warmest Regards,

Phillip Holmes
