While it is not obvious, cvsnt has a pserver that integrates into the
windows "services". I have done it...don't remember it being anything
really difficult other than making sure I install the "server" since it was
not part of the default install. I had troubles using the tcl/python
scripts to act right with my ActiveState installs.

http://www.wazooenterprises.com/peon/peon_setting_up_cvsnt.shtml
seems about right.

Please know that pserver is not a very secure. Using ssh access is
significantly preferred if you are not "secure". However I have not yet
done this with a Windows based computer.

It is best to put your repository on a machine that does little else. I
have made some colossal screw-ups and wrecked the machine I develop on.
(Not with Java...yet). I keep mine on a box with hardware raid 1.

I'm working on getting something CVS related up and running on my
Windows devel box. I've downloaded WinCVS (which includes CVSnt, I'm
assuming that CVSnt is the server and WinCVS is the client). I'm kinda
stuck with CVS for a choice since some of my devel work is done on a
Linux box running Eclipse and other times I'm running Eclipse on Windows.

So... anyone have a pointer HowTO for CVS on a Windows box?

Thanks!
Hatton
