For what it’s worth, I just received a call from The
Planet’s general counsel concerning the trouble ticket I placed inquiring
about the Channel 11 story accusing them of hosting terrorist sites… What
he said is that The Planet was actively cooperating with an FBI investigation
which was monitoring the sites in question. What he said is that both The
Planet and the FBI repeatedly asked Channel 11 not to run the story so they
could continue to gather information, but they decided to run it, in The Planet’s
words, “because it was during sweeps.” Without spending the time
and energy contacting the FBI and being told that they cannot comment on it…
it’s impossible to know whether this is true or not. However, since it
was quite a topic for a couple of days, I thought you all should at least hear
