I think you hit the nail on the head with your last sentence: "One of
the things I know I need to learn about ..."  I just keep a mental or
even written list of all the stuff I don't know that I feel like I
need to.  Then if the opportunity arises in a project, or if I have a
bit of down time between projects, there's no shortage of things to
learn.

If you need specific resources about particular topics just post here
again, because it could make for some really interesting discussions. 
Also, please feel free to submit ideas for future UG meetings. 
Chances are if you're wanting to get into some aspect of CF that
you're new to there are several others in the same boat.
