I'd be interested in that too.

I built a site builder years ago and I just have IIS setup to accept all
headers for that IP, then the application.cfm queries the database for that
header and includes the proper header and footer for that URL. So I don't
have to touch IIS and if you run bind, you can simply rewrite your DNS
dynamically also (I never attempted this with windows DNS, but I'm sure you
could do it in a few lines of VBScript by calling the right object).

Come to think of it, I'm sure the scripting guys site at Microsoft would
have the solution to the DNS and IIS automation. I'd spend a few hours on
their site and you should be able to do it easily.

I also have one in PHP that does it a whole different way, but only works
with apache. I can't remember how exactly I did that one.

Does anyone know where I can find information about how to edit IIS sites
and directories with Coldfusion? I have an application that is dynamically
creating a number of sites that have domain names tied to them. It has
become quite a laborious process to set each one up individually in IIS. I
would like to include the IIS setup in the existing application files.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Kevin
