As Patrick mentioned the other night, we'd like to start having a CFMX
7 presentation every month so we can see the new features first hand.
Specifically we'd like to have one of our members do a deep dive in
specific sections/features and tell us what they're all about and why
we should be excited! So I'm going to put a list in this email of the
high-level areas we'd like to have presentations on, and then I'll
take volunteers for each feature. Don't be shy! (Also if there's
something I left out, please let me know.) These are in no particular
order other than the first two ...

1. FLASH FORMS/FLASH CONTROLS (grid, tree, etc.):
We'd like to have this next month (March 8) because it would jive well
with the Flex presentation we already have scheduled.

2. CFDOCUMENT
Patrick is tentatively scheduled to do this in April.

3. SKINNABLE XFORMS/CFINPUT IMPROVEMENTS IN NON-FLASH FORMS (e.g. masks)

4. COLDFUSION REPORT BUILDER

5. APPLICATION EVENTS/APPLICATION.CFC

6. J2EE DEPLOYMENT/ENTERPRISE MANAGEMENT/SOURCELESS DEPLOYMENT

7. EVENT GATEWAYS (General Intro/examples; might specifically cover
the CFML Asynchronous Gateway)

8. ADMINISTRATOR API

9. DREAMWEAVER EXTENSIONS (e.g. Login Wizard, etc.)

10. VERITY CHANGES/IMPROVEMENTS (new features, changes to
cfcollection, cfindex, and cfsearch)

11. NEW TAGS AND FUNCTIONS (cftimer, cfcalendar, cfntauthenticate,
getContextRoot(), ToScript(), etc.)

12. GENERAL ENHANCEMENT ROUNDUP (query of query enhancements, CFC
changes, new features in the CF administrator, cfchart, cross-site
scripting protection, SES urls, XML changes, query metadata, cfmail,
encoding/decoding, webservice enhancements, localization, etc.)--this
can be split up as needed

Let me know what you think, and by all means volunteer to present!
You'll get sick of hearing me talk if you don't volunteer. ;-)
