The simplest way I have found to find the last sequence number and determine the next sequence number is:   <cfquery name="myQuery">     SELECT    MAX(SEQNUMBER) AS MAXSEQNUMBER     FROM        MY TABLE </cfquery>   <cfset NewSequenceNumber = #myQuery.MAXSEQNUMBER# + 1>   Gary L.
