If that's the case and these emails do NOT wind up in your undeliverable directory then there's definitely something going on with your SMTP server. Remember that all CF does is hand messages off to your SMTP server, so if they're leaving CF successfully, CF did its job.
I send out HTML emails all the time with full http:// URLs and image paths in them and they work fine.
