Yeah, but I've seen some sites that are doing it this way and it's not causing dups - which leads me to believe that I'm doing something wrong.

And the other piece is that some sites are able to "thread" their comments in the newsreader. I've been digging around, but can't get a clear picture of how this is being done.

user adds a comment (in order to include that new comment in the feed).

Problem is, the newsreaders are seeing the "new" feed and thinking they
need to create duplicate entries for the content.

I've looked around the Web, and there doesn't seem to be any clear
"comments" standard in RSS.

Any ideas or information?
