I have to say, I'm REALLY happy with the new IE/FF compatible FCKeditor. 
Really happy. It's free, and they just released v.2.0 yesterday.

The toolbars are customizable, and it offers pretty much every feature 
I've ever found need for.

I haven't evaluated lately, but I looked ALL over and tested a TON of 
stuff this past August when working on BlogFusion v.3.5. Nothing came 
close to FCK
