Just to clarify, every process that's run on an operating system has a user that owns the process. On Unix for system processes this is frequently the "nobody" user, and on Windows it's usually the "System" user. These users have pretty broad powers for things like filesystem access, but are limited in terms of network access for security reasons. In Windows you can go into your Services admin section and change the user account that owns the process.
