I had the same issue a few years ago.  By default, MX loads wwwroot
into the smaller partition (/var/ ?) where CFMX and the other OS type
files reside.  We had set up links to the intended location
(/usr/cfmx/wwwroot/  ??) in the smaller partition, as Tom has
suggested.  Sorry I can't recall all the details, as I had someone do
this for me, but you get the idea.  Someone knowledgable in Linux
should be able to do this for you rather quickly.

So the answer is no, you can't do it through the administrator.
