Until you make the jump from HTML forms to applets/plugins, you will be
limited to users selecting one file at a time (rather than a folder of
files) and no upload progress bar. There are several java applets (users
will need a JRE installed) that make the process much more user
friendly.

Here's one:

Subject: File uploads

Good morning all,

For a new internal project we need to look at allowing internal users to
upload files - could be more than 1GB a year. These files need to be
tied to a description that users fill out and be made available to other
users of the application. We have used cffile and it works ok but am
curious is anyone recommends other file upload tools/methods?

Thanks in advance,
Tom Woestman
