The consensus was that they are virtually obsolete. What you need to
avoid is placing session ID parameters in your URLs. Don't name a query
string parameter "ID" as in "?ID=3423433". For CF don't append your CFID
and CFTOKEN vars. Bots will receive a new session for every page
request, so they could get caught in a loop if they accept URLs with
these vars. This is main issue they are cautious of.

Do a search in google for "inurl:productID" (no quotes) and you'll see
the SES URLs are going the way of the Dodo.
