Qmail is the way to go. In fact, it was the original routing engine for Hotmail and I think they still use. Anyway, I have been using it for 6+ years and it works like a champ. In fact, a few years ago I found a company in the Chicago area who have wrote a lot of plugins and what not for Qmail. It just happens that they have a company who specializes in installing and maintaining Qmail installations. They have been doing my work for 3 years and I am very pleased. There prices are very fair as well. In fact, they bailed me out of a crisis two days before Christmas a few years back while they were technically closed for vacation.
So, contact inter7.com and they can get you setup on Qmail very quickly and for a low price.
