Matt,
I think that all of those would make for a really good meeting topic. Hopefully living in Austin it might be more do-able to make to the meetings (as opposed to living in San Antonio). Hey who knows maybe it might even be expensable!
It would be interesting to hear about Mach-II, as it might be something to try later, but for the conceivable future, most of the work I'm doing will be with Fusebox. As for the CF7 features, I would be very interested in hearing about them. The boss at my company wants to have myself and a co-worker upgrade our certifications to CF7 asap, so it would be a good opportunity to hear about the new features before sitting the exam. The built-in encryption functionality is very cool in CF7, and its nice not to need to have a CFX tag to perform advanced encryption anymore.
When is the Sept. meeting going to be scheduled for?

Just trying to plan ahead a bit--we've had source code management and
Eclipse discussed a lot in the last couple of days, and both of these
would in my mind make great topics. I'd alos love to get back in the
swing of talking in more detail about the CF 7 features since I feel
like we didn't cover many of them.
I also found out last week that I will be speaking at the 2005 Fusebox
and Frameworks Conference, and my presentation is "Head First
Mach-II." The conference is in late September so if people would be
interested in that it would give me a chance to do a trial run if I
could use you all as guinea pigs in the September meeting. PLEASE
feel free to tell me if you're not interested in hearing about
Mach-II, but I thought I'd offer it as a possibility.
As for CF 7 features, I think at this point we've really only covered
the hig h-level overview and the SMS messaging, so we have a lot of
ground left to cover like rich forms, gateways, etc. etc. etc. If
anyone's been working with any of the new features in detail and would
like to present, please say the word!
Thanks,
Matt
