yer story proves a couple points actually....... 1)after trying peacefull
confrontation the protester finally decided to defend himself, which is what we are
doin in iraq. 2)the protester, despite all his efforts, finally had to commit to an
act of violence against a violent and pursuing opponent 3)my last and moast important
point...if ya act like a pussy and don't fight back, he'll jus keep hittin you. in
short i think the point of that story is to make people understand that you can only
try to resolve a situation peacefully for so long until a reaction is deemed necesarry
. i also believe that is why we've been at war with so many countries. we've done a
lot to help other countries, but more importantly, in helping those weaker countries
we established treaties, friends, resources, and most of all respect. a lot of
countries go to war for stupid reasons but ours on the other hand has a lot of
justification for it's actions. the war going on right now means a great deal to a lot
of people, and no it is not only for our freedom from terrorist groups. have any of
you seen how those poeple live in iraq? or afghanistan for that matter? these are a
race of people that get nothing from their "government" (if ya wanna call it that). we
are tryin to provide these people with the freedoms they have lacked for centuries,
you people don even consider that fact. there is so little respect for saddam that his
own army will not take up arms for him, they won't fight, they look for the nearest
coalition force and surrender. to me this says a lot, especially bein part of one of
the best fighting forces in the world. that is something that we don't even consider,
surrender is nowhere to be found in the minds of marines. it is not an option for us,
but these people are more than willing to give up the fight for someone that they do
not agree with. i'm not going to say that you can't disagree with the war, but with
saying that you also cannot deprive an entire nation of the rights we as americans
take for granted. the right you people exercise to protest for example..... if the
iraqi people openly expressed their views they are tortured and used as human shields
for those who will fight. could you live with that?!? me and my counterparts sending
you protestors to the fromt lines to prtect us from bullets?...... didn't think so. we
are jus tryin to provide these people with their god givin rights.....the right to
live, and live free.
