I noticed that the story in the SF Chronicle was very even-handed and
non-sensationalistic. I wrote to the author, Matt Stannard, to thank him for his
approach, and he wrote me back a nice email. He's written before about e, as well
as Dance Safe, and he's aware of the unwarranted links that people can make
between e and ravers. I also said that since the girls took a "blue pill" that
it was likely to contain something else, such as MDA and/or speed, and he was
aware of that.
If only all journalists -- especially on TV -- would be so responsible in
their reporting!
