My two cents.
Yes bChoi is correct. Spain runs on 220V/50MHz. I doubt your turntables have
built in transformers, so you'll probably need both a transformer (some come
with the right plug on the other side) and/or another adapter plug adapter plug.
For a complete table setup, you should just look into a power strip that has the
tranformer built in and takes the U.S. two prong plug.
If you look on things such as your laptop power cord, flip it over and you'll
see an input voltage range. I don't know of any laptop today that doesnt come
with a 110-240V spec. What this means is that you dont need a transformer for
your latptop anywhere in the world. What you will need is an adapter for the two
prong plug. You can find universal ones for about nine bucks at Fry's
electronics or radio shack.
Some other appliances like hair dryers will have an option for the input power
rating. Just adjust and use or else beware of sparks and/or smells, hhaha
If you're staying in a pretty good/new hotel, some of them already have outlets
that take plugs from the US (once again, they dont do power conversion so make
sure your component takes 220V.
My general attempt is this. If the power rating works, then i dont mind trying
to plug it in the outlet. It wont hurt your component and it doesnt hurt to see
if your plug fits.
hope this helps.

James

Chances are, the electrical current in Spain is running at 220V/50Hz (but
check to make sure). I would check in the instruction manual of your tables
to see what the plugs are rated for your tables. If the plug is rated for
US use only (110V/60Hz), then you might run into some trouble if you just by
a plug converter. You may need to by a transformer that will not only
change the shape of the plug, but also the electrical current running from
your socket to your tables.
that is all...

Subject: [D] Technique Question
Hi everyone,
I have a quick question. I'm in the process of shipping my turntables to
Barcelona. But, I want to know the input voltage and if you know any good
voltage converters if it needs one. Or do i just need a plug?
I have an M3D.
But im not too sure. haha.
Thanks,
Alej-
Oh yea! And P.S.
If anyone on the list wants to head over to spain, (barcelona) you have a
place to crash.
