Hey whats's up folks.
In the grand tradition of cheap (and effective) film-making, Ive decided
to do a documentary film for my cinema class. It took a little bit of
introspective examination, but I found a subject I want to address and happens
to be something I care about.
The subject: Laws which have affected the club/rave culture.
Obviously, we've all got our own opinions on things such as the RAVE act, the
CLEAN-UP act, crackhouse laws and the such. So here's your chance to be heard!
I need 10-15 volunteers to sit in front of a camera for 10 minutes or so to
weigh in on how things have been affected. If you can donate more time, that's
more than cool with me! If you think the laws are just, unjust, right, wrong,
beneficial, more bad than good, indifferent or whatever, It'd be mad-awesome
(yes, I just sad mad-awesome) if you could donate a few minutes of your time.
For those of you who're up to volunteering some time, I can drive to you if you
want and we can film wherever is comfortable for you. Your home, work,
coffeeshops, at a party, whatever is cool with you. I want to keep this limited
to the bay area though for thematic and economic reasons though. The closer to
SF or Vallejo the better, but don't be discouraged from tossing in your two
cents! Even if you can just email me an opinion, I'll work
on
incorporating that too!
I won't be able to pay anybody, but I'll be uploading the final product
online for anybody who wants to download it. If you can't download it for
whatever reason, I'll burn you a cd or dvd. In any event, I'll make sure a copy
gets out to you guys one way or another. Just so you guys know... I'm
"supposed" to be limited to 5 minutes, but I'm gonna stretch it to 7 or 8
anyway. So please understand that I am limited in my time frame and try not to
be offended or anything if you're not in the final product. Everybody who winds
up in the film or even so much as inquires will recieve a credit.
