Unfortunately, the bad news is that the WINDOW NOTIFY stuff only works 
on bona fide "hidden/invisible" windows.  Windows that are on alternate
screens are not considered hidden, and therefore don't fall under the
purview of the WINDOW NOTIFY stuff.  This is not to say that it *can't*,
but I will say that nobody (until now, basically) has asked for this to
be changed.  Does anyone want to comment on this?

Before making up your mind it is important to consider that EPIC does not
differentiate between Xterm screens and Screen screens.  EPIC also does 
not know which screen is "active", but it does know which screen you last
pressed a key in.  This may not be what you want.

All in all, this is more fraught with peril than it looks. ;-)
