If INDENT is on, and the first word of the first line is too long, the wrapping lines
following it do
not indent. If the first word is short enough, the wrapping lines following it do
indent.
Long word 1:
[gravitron([EMAIL PROTECTED])] WASHINGTON (CNN) -- With the Democratic
presidential nomination all but in his pocket, Sen. John Kerry stands poised to focus
his campaign
exclusively on battling Republicans and defeating President Bush in November.
Short word 1:
[Pony429([EMAIL PROTECTED])] last nite when i was sleeping apparently a bot the irc
ops use to do
whatever d-lined me....not really sure why but it
kept doing a version
request on me and now i can't connex to the uk
server at all
According to hop, the cutoff for the amount of space the line will indent is 1/3 the
width of the
window. However, if the indent would be more than 1/3, it doesn't indent at all. hop
says this is the
default ircII behavior.
I would like to suggest that instead of not indenting at all if it would be greater
than 1/3 of the
width of the window, it should indent to exactly 1/3 of the width. It looks very
awkward to suddenly not
indent certain lines when all other lines are being indented.
