Yeah, skininess is a problem. I think it's from the scaling down from PG to MG size. As you have to maintain the structure and strength, you're proportionally having more "plastic" in MG than PG... as you cannot make the plastic pieces too thin. i.e, you got less empty space. So you have to make parts that'd fit into these spaces, like the Zeta arms which has less need of plastic strength as it's not involved in the body transformation, more skinny. At least that's how I can justify the changes whenever I see one.

Overall proportion seems to look more 'dynamic', but some parts too skinny, and surface details seems to lose to ver.1. Still under my 'buy-list'. =)

The standing pose picture is probably not representative for the shield... it is in retracted mode there. You'll see if you compare it to the mid-left photo.
