RIGHTO, to be precise: A 20 yr old female's eggs had about 22 cell divisions (2^22 >> 400, but only a small fractions of the divided cells ever became fertile eggs), a 20 yr old male's sperms had gone through 150 cell divisions (2^150 is not so different from the number of sperms in a... (well it's a strange unit - a fluid oz. is a lot of mucous)... fluid oz.) 150/22 = 6.8 that's how you get the 600% difference between male mutations and female mutations. The scary thing (for middle age men) is that every year you add 23 division cycles to 150. So at 60 yr old, you had sperms that have been divided 1070 times, i.e. 4800% more mutations than a 60 yr old woman's eggs.
