If it were some objective thinking somewhere in there, perhaps it
wasn't as bad as it feels...

Prior to that, it was hard to keep the shopping under control... there
were the HGUC's, MC (Mazinger etc), HGAB, HGLM, Hasegawa's Valks and a
few MGs that's always there to tempt me.

But I slowly caught up with the "must"-haves and then for several
months, whenever I went down to Manhattan (or Toronto) I would be
thinking "hmm haven't gotten a kit for a while", and still ended up
going home empty-handed. I managed to persuade myself out of a string
of HGUCs, Seed/Destiny and EX's, esp. Flying Armor (Mk.II) and BMFG
(Type-100). I always said I'm a fan of non-robots, esp. in 1/144, but
somehow I resisted. (long-winded way to say exactly, it's just not my
taste)

Anyway I better put my Tachikoma order in quickly. If (when?) Japan
takes sabre (ehh sword) rattling over the edge, i.e., amend the
consitution. I won't be able to buy Japanese goods and still look
myself in the mirror.

Yeah, end of 2005 was pretty good: QM, Marasai, Asshimar, Gabthley...

Marasai is a great great kit, BTW, one may find faults with Asshimar
and Gabthley (and I predict Palace Athens will have problems too), but
I can't find any issues with Marasai.
