If we think of it this way, we can probably further understand how the Zeon force consider the Cyclop team disposible... they're having a 1 MS attack in a colony which is in a Side where the Federation is gathering most of its force for the final push!

I have a couple, one from reading this and one from reading Mark's updated timeline:
1. We learned that before our TV series begins half of human population was killed. From Mark's latest translation we know that half of the population was in space. So I am wondering, can we figure out the casualities (on Earth and in the Colonies) before OYW began with these data? I never sure how much of the Sydney colony drop killed as a percentage of human population on Earth at that time.
2. I didn't notice that the 0080 story was happening around the same time when the Whitebase was in Side 6, just a different colony. Is there official record on the reason of one of Federation's latest Pegasus class battleship Grey Phantom happens to be there? was it a part of Star One?
