AHA! Thought you'd never ask. Let's TRY to define orthodoxy:
orthodoxy (n.): [model] the state of a model kit being open to
customization, generally involving painting and/or modification,
without dis-assembly from the retail condition.
So: PG/MG/HG/UG/GK are all ortho. MSIA/GFIX are all not. People
customize MSIA just like any model, but you have to dis-assemble (at
least) the limbs, nozzles, backpack etc before you can do anything
meaningful.

So GC WB is 100% ortho, except those three MS figures. GC QM is say
75% ortho, since most people can mod/repaint with just masking. GC BZ
is less than 50% ortho, since the legs (<50%) are ortho, but the bulk
body can't really be custom-painted without dis-assembly.

project for you is to mod a tricycle into a Musai.
